18.01.16 Message from M. Danichkin:
“We climbed Yukhin Peak (5130) on 16.01 for acclimatization. Yesterday was rest day. And today we have overnight on the mountain. First Camp at 5230m. The weather is good. Just -20C. Seems like it will be colder in the morning. On the way we met up with Russian climbers. They had a night at 6100 and went down to the base camp.”

19.01.16 Misha Danichkin:
“We have reached 6100m. It became a little warmer -26C. It was -30C in the morning. The weather is good. Next day we are going higher. The day after tomorrow if the weather and health is fine we will attack the Mountain. Heavy backpacks (20kg) and steep slope (ice and firn) make us to walk slowly.”

21.07.16 Summit attack.

The team tried to get to the Summit. Yesterday the weather was not good. The fog didn’t give a chance to look around. Guys put camp 3 at 6480m.  Everybody hoped that the next day it will become clear.

But in the morning the Summit was covered with clouds. Around 10AM it became extremely windy and cold. Guys have to turn back from couloir at 6800m. All climbers have already returned back to Camp 3. Tired and thinking what to do…
